    Outi Merisalo is Professor of Romance Philology at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, docent of Latin Philology at the University of Helsinki and Åbo Akademi, Secretary General of the Comité international de paléographie latine (2015-). Principal Investigator of the international research projects Late Medieval and Early Modern Libraries as Knowledge Repositories, Guardians of Tradition and Catalysts of Change (under way), Transmission of Knowledge in the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance (concluded).
