Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP) and PhD in Philosophy by the same Faculty. She teaches Philosophical Anthropology in the Degree in Philosophy; Ethics and Politics in the Master’s degree in Philosophy; Philosophical Education and Social Development in the Master’s Degree in Teaching Philosophy in Secondary Education and Public Space: themes problems in the Doctoral Program in Philosophy.

Principal Researcher of the Research Group Philosophy and Public Space (since 2007) and She was member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Philosophy (until march 2018); member of the evaluation panel - FCT doctoral post-doctoral scholarships, Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) 2014/2017/2019.
Member of the Editorial and Scientific Boards of 6 national and international journals; member of the Scientific Committee of the Le ragioni del método Collection, Casa Editrice Volta la carta di Ferrara and of the Scientific Committee of the Le Verità Provisorie Editorial Collection, Casa Editrice Volta la carta di Ferrara, Italy (8 volumes already published). She is researcher of the Latin American Network: Life, Ethics, Aesthetics, Education and Politics of www.insumisos.com, Network of Latin American Researchers for Democracy and Peace.
She has been a visiting Professor at several international universities. She has been co-editor since January 2019 of the Urbis Thematic Section of the Sapiens Research Scientific Bulletin, magazine edited by Sapiens Research Group. She also includes the Council of Ethics and Deontology, as well as the Standing Committee of the same Council of the University of Aveiro.
Responsible and organizer for more than 100 scientific meetings (Conferences, Colloquiums, Conference Cycles and Research Seminars, national and international). She has given many lectures in Portugal and abroad; she has published 8 books, multiple papers in national and international journals, she was invited to edit 4 Journals Special Issue and was invited to participate in the Philosophy of the City Handbook, Routledge.
