Description
The manuscript contains several Astronomical Tables, very elaborately drawn up, produced by Merton College astronomer and mathematician John Killingworth’s (Chillingworth). From Oxford almanac tables, these tables provide formulae for calculating the phases of the moon and movement of the sun and they were a way of mapping the heavens, providing the true positions of the sun and moon.
